Writing On A Poster

The task that I did for this week was writing something down on a poster. During Science my CT came up to me and asked me to write questions that the students could answer about the topic they are learning about on a poster. The students are learning about solids, liquids, and gases in Science right now. I always see my CT write things down on posters and hang those posters around the room. I think my CT keeps the posters up even when they have moved on from that topic just as a reminder to the students if they have a question about it or if my CT ever talks about that topic again they can refer to the posters. Do these posters really help students? I think the posters are very helpful because it gives the students a place to look to get help before asking the teacher. These posters can also clarify information about a lesson to the students. The poster I did only had questions written on it but these questions could spark the memory of the lesson for the students and what they learned from it. I made sure that the questions were very clear and my CT looked them over before I asked the class to work on them. The questions were made so that the students could display higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). I don't really like questions that just have a "Yes" or "No" answer to them. I think that it is very important for the students to have questions that challenge them and have them think about their answers or even have to work in groups to come up with an answer. This task went really well and the students worked in groups and helped one another out and they seemed like they understood the questions that I wrote down for them.
