Lining Up The Students

For this task I had to line up the student and take them to lunch. Early that day I watched my CT line up the students to go to specials. I noticed that she would get the students' attention to line up about five minutes before they had to be at specials. She gave them enough time to line up by groups and walk to their specials. So when it was my turn I said about five minutes before lunch that they had to start cleaning up and get ready. When I saw groups getting ready I would start calling one group at a time. Doing one group at a time manages the space so that everyone is not rushing and bumping into one another. The students stand behind their desk with their thumbs up showing me that they are ready to be called on. When I had called all the groups to stand in line they all did it so well and no one had an issues. Was it because I have never lined them up and it was someone new doing the line up which them made them more behaved? I say this because the previous week when I was interning there was some problems with some students pushing in line. Also, walking the students to the lunchroom went really well and no problems happened.
